Today I´m going to talk about of a
book that I´m like it. This book was written for a writer of Argelia, his name
is Albert Camus, a existencialist writer: He named the book with title of
"The Stranger".
He attends his mother's funeral. A few days later, he kills
an Arab man in French Algiers, who was involved in a
conflict with a friend. Meursault is tried and
sentenced to death. The story is divided into two parts, presenting Meursault's first person narrative view before and after the murder, respectively.
The Stranger is a narrative with philosophy
content. The narrator is named Meursault and the story opens with him reading a
telegram informing him of his mother’s death.
Meusault is not overly shocked as his mother is old and has been living
in a home for the elderly. At the
funeral he doesn’t cry as he is actually more overcome with heat due to the hot
Algerian summer than with grief. The
funeral is followed by more everyday events and a friendship with a local
pimp.
The novel is a one of my fauvorites books,
because I remember the absurdities
